Portable Computing

When I'm away from home, whether on friends' computers, or in computer labs, I naturally like to use the programs that make browsing and communicating easier. Since I use mutt, irssi, and bitlbee in screen on my home workstation, I can check/write e-mail, IRC and IM from anywhere with just an SSH client. I prefer PuTTY for this purpose when I am forced to use Windows. And typically, when away from home, I need no more than to be able to browse and check my email, and because I am an Opera fan, getting a Windows equivalent of Opera is no problem. However, I don't like a few things about the default Opera setup, so I saved mine and made a script to have my website spit it out with the appropriate header so I can install it with a click or two on freshly installed copy. If you'd like to do what I did, you can read about setups on the Opera Community Support website.

Below is a list of links to locally hosted programs so I can quickly access them when away from home.
